I'm "Cheww"!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVERY!!!




Today was Avery's birthday and we had such a fun weekend. I can't believe my little girl is two years old. It seems like just yesterday she was this tiny 5 lb baby with loads of hair. She's still got loads of hair, but oh how she's grown. It's been an awesome couple years with her. She ALWAYS keeps us on our toes, as well as keeps us laughing with her fun personality. I often am calling her a "monster" or a "crazy child", but I wouldn't have her any other way. She is a free spirit with a loving personality. I adore her with all my heart. I am in awe with how much she has learned. She is talking so much right now. As the title of this blog says, "I'm Cheww!" I wish you could hear her say it, it's so cute! She's been very proud to be 2 years old.
We had a great party with her grandparents on Saturday night. Avery is obsessed with "Shishees" (fish) right now, so Brian bought her an aquarium for her bedroom. She also got a "shishee cake". I think the high light of the party was her little bike and the indoor trampoline... (I know.. what in the world was I thinking when I bought that?) Kaden was just as excited about that as she was. When she opened it he said, "Look Avery, it's a present for both of us!"
We love our little Avers. She brings out the "girl" in me. I treasure the moments when I get to spend time with just her reading books or cuddling in my bed before the day actually begins. She's our little "bug" are we are completely in love with our precious "wild child".

Big Sister Avery

Avery is a great big sister despite the fact that she is 2 and highly emotional. She loves her little brother, but clings to mom and dad all day long. I feel bad for her because life as she knows it has changed, but thankfully, she adores Brighton and she has done some pretty cute things the last couple weeks as well. Here's just a few:
- "Baby Brite, Brite"
- She will run into the crib and just sit and watch him sleep
- When the baby is asleep, she'll come in and tell me, "brite brite night night. shhhh
(as she puts her finger over her mouth)
- She "gently" points to his various body parts. For ex.. "baby eyes, no, outh, ear,
hands, etc)
- She giggles when he wiggles his legs
- When she wants to hold him she runs to the antibacterial lotion, says "ands" and
washes her hands.
- She holds him for about 5 seconds, kisses him on the head and is off again
- If the baby is in the other room, she will come in and say, "baby go?"
- I found her the other day trying to pick him up from the swing
- Also found her trying to feed him raspberries
- If he is on the floor, she runs over and gets a diaper and baby wipes for him (even
if I'm not changing his diaper)
- If he's crying, she runs and finds a "bean bean" (binky)
- When she's tired of being cooped up in the house, she'll come to me and say "ride"

22 Months going on 16

Avery decided she wanted to learn how to drive this weekend. We were at a friends house who has a large yard and she got in the car and started pushing the pedals. She figured it out really fast and had the biggest smile on her face the whole time. After about 10 minutes or so, we heard this little scream...... "Ahhhhhhh!!!" We then looked over to see Avery about to run into a pile of bricks next to their garden! Sure enough.... CRASH!!! She ran right into the bricks and halted to a dead stop. She was just fine, infact she still had a smile on her face. It was just so funny when we heard her scream... it was like she was trying to say..."I'm going to run into these bricks and there is NOTHING I can do about it!" It was so darn cute, but gave a realization that this might actually happen with a real car in just a few more years.
